Provider numbers

Provider numbers are required for doctors wanting to obtain Medicare benefits at a certain location.These can be provided using the old fashioned paper way or using the new electronic PRODA system.  We can assist you in setting up your own account or act as a delegate for you within your account.  A PRODA account allow provider numbers to be issued in a day, gives access to existing provider numbers and a number of other relevant services.  We are also able to assist with applying for 19AB exemption provider numbers for overseas trained doctors.

LSPNs

Before you can be accredited and receive Medicare benefits, you must obtain a Location Specific Practice Number [LSPN] from Medicare.

This number is specific to your location and lists all your medical imaging equipment.  Your LSPN must be kept up to date or Medicare benefits may lapse with no recourse. Annual audit letters will be posted out to the authorised representative.  If you do not return these within 28 days, your LSPN will be stalled and no Medicare billings will be permitted.

Teleradiology

Choice Accreditation Services are now pleased to offer teleradiology assistance for all practices that require off site reporting.

We are able to package this with Medicare billing, mandatory DIAS accreditation, LSPN applications, state registrations and Medicare paperwork. This will be very attractive to a new start up practice or those who are expanding.  Why struggle with the red tape and waste precious time by doing it yourself when we can offer a stress-free option?

Radiation management plans

Radiation Management Plans are compulsory in many states for those practices with ionising radiation equipment.

If you have not updated your plan, or find that you don’t have one, please contact us.

Random onsite audits are routinely carried out in some states, where you will be expected to produce a correct and current Radiation Management Plan.

Medicare billing

Choice Accreditation Services offer a Medicare billing service for those doctors or practices that may not have established billing systems. This may be suitable for new start-ups or doctors that are mobile and have no permanent rooms or staff.

Services may also be suitable for practices that traditionally don’t work with Medicare such as dental or chiropractic rooms. All Medicare funds go directly into your account and we will bill you a small fee each fortnight to cover our services.

There are no set up or initial costs involved and you can conclude the service at any time if your circumstances change.

We are also pleased to offer a management service for larger companies with multiple sites.  If you find it difficult to find someone ‘enthusiastic’ and ‘competent’ enough within your business to manage your sites overall compliance, we can help.  In many cases our monthly retainer is a fraction of the cost [and smoother] than employing someone full time to take on the role.  We can manage your ongoing staff registrations, state licences, compliance certificates, maintenance scheduling, radiation safety, accreditation submissions and your Medicare paperwork.  We are also up to date with the latest changes in the industry and can advise you on Medicare related questions.  You can relax in the knowledge you have one of the best accreditation experts taking care of your business.
